Our Story

I’m from Ecuador, from a small village called Cotacachi, just minutes from the colorful Plaza de los Ponchos in Otavalo—a place full of culture, tradition, and beautiful handmade art. Growing up around these markets, I learned to appreciate the time, care, and stories behind every piece.

In 2024, I returned home and was inspired all over again by the beauty of the textiles and jewelry. I brought a few ponchos and tagua pieces back to Santa Maria to share with friends—and they loved them. They kept asking for more, and that’s when I realized this could become something bigger.

Global Artisan Inspirations was born from that moment.

All of our products are handmade in Ecuador, mostly by Indigenous women artisans who use traditional techniques passed down for generations. Each piece is made slowly, in small quantities, using natural materials like alpaca wool, cotton, and tagua. Every item tells a story—and no two are the same.

This business is deeply personal to me. It allows me to stay connected to my roots while supporting artisans in my community by giving them access to new markets and helping their work grow. I also collaborate with small artisan businesses from other countries like Mexico and Guatemala, celebrating handmade traditions across cultures.

I care about honoring the love, effort, and identity behind every product. I want my customers to feel that connection—to know they are buying something meaningful, sustainable, and truly unique.

My customers are people who value quality, culture, and authenticity. They wear these pieces to express themselves, gift them to loved ones, or bring warmth and story into their homes.

Our Vision

My vision is to grow into a trusted local destination in Santa Maria, connecting more artisans from across Ecuador with a community that truly values their work.
